I am not an optimist. But, I am a very serious possibilist.

Read this from a bestseller written by Morgan Housel.

You would have heard, the way to get what you desire is to be hopeful (optimist) about it.

Being an optimist for sure opens our thoughts to be more positive and to get much closer to what we desire. But, do you think being ONLY optimist would guarantee you to get what you want?

Being a serious possibilist on the path of achieving your optimistic desire is the key. (means: there are no unrealistic hopes and progress though gradual, is possible) Think about it !!!

Imagine this in relationships too. You are very optimistic about your love and you visualise the rest of your life with him/her, but somewhere you still fear about the challenges that would come your way, you still doubt the possibility of lifetime commitment and stop giving required serious efforts to nurture your relationship. Will this relationship have a successful future? May be Yes. But mostly No.

I don’t mean here that being an optimist doesn’t work but it’s equally important to be a serious possibilist about what you want. This not only holds true for the example above but in every aspect of life. Give a serious possibilist thought about it !!!
